About Us

Tommy and Josh

For more than 25 years, Golden Retrievers have been a part of our family. We decided to create a small kennel so that we could produce a limited number of puppies for other families to enjoy. We are a Christ centered family with our focus on Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We live on five acres where our dogs have room to run and roam freely.

We have two sons, our oldest, Tommy graduated with Honors from San Joaquin Valley College, with a AS in Business.  He has since graduated from Cal Baptist University with a BS in Accounting and will be pursuing a career in the Business / Accounting field.   He is very active within our church and serves as one of the Gate Keepers.

Our youngest, Josh, was very active in Boy Scouts and achieved the highest rank of Eagle Scout, he graduated from California Lutheran High School in June 2009, and then went on to serve in the United States Air Force. Josh is still serving in the AF and is now married and has given us our first granddaughter.

Our dogs are a big part of our family, and are given lots of individual attention. We have large play areas for them when they are unable to be up at the house with us. Puppies are born and raised in our home, where they are loved and individually socialized, making it easier for them to adjust to their new homes. Our dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club.  We breed only certified healthy dogs to produce healthy puppies. All of our dogs have must their official OFA (Hips, Elbows and Heart) and their eyes are checked yearly before entering into our breeding program. We strive to produce healthy, happy, even temperament puppies. We have only a few litters a year, as quality is more important to us than quantity.  Puppies are carefully examined by our veterinarian before they are placed with their new families. They receive their first vaccination, and have been de wormed several times. All puppies are sold on a limited registration to prevent irresponsible breeding. We require that they be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age to help stop the overpopulation of unwanted dogs in shelters.

We highly recommend that potential buyers have researched the breed and are ready to accept the responsibilities (both time and financial) that go along with owning a large, active breed. A fenced yard and home with adequate room is essential. We also recommend that new owners attend puppy obedience classes with their new pup to help it reach it's full potential as a wonderful family companion and training should include crate training, leash training and basic obedience training (come, sit, stay, down).

If you are interested in exploring the possibility of adding a Canyon Ridge Golden Retriever puppy to your family, we would be happy to speak with you and assist you in making a decision about a puppy.  Please feel free to contact us by E-mail or telephone (951) 321-0168     All business is conducted according to Matthew 7:12.  "Jesus said, "In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you,for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."

We look forward to hearing from you!
